For instance, DishNetwork was the first to offer a satellite system for less than $200 (that figure is much cheaper, now). They were also the first to develop an Ultra High Frequency (UHF) remote control. Also, they were the first to offer an Integrated Receiver Descrambler (IRD) for C-band satellite television. They were the first company to offer a satellite television receiver with built in digital recording capabilities. And last, but certainly not least, they were the first company to create and maintain a nationwide installation network dedicated to satellite television installations.
